Searle’s is an upmarket trading post and country wedding venue in the quaint Overberg mountain village of Greyton, serving authentic and honest country cuisine.

The menus change daily for lunch and dinner, and our food is simple and comforting. A variety of freshly baked cakes and other nibbles are displayed around the coffee station, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Simple food that is exquisitely prepared, is an unbeatable combination and at Searle’s you’ll find food that is truly sublime! Experience a slice of Italy with our wood-fired pizzas and fresh hand-made pasta. Sit in front of the smouldering flames in winter or outside on the lawn in summer.

Naomi Herselman and Derek Crabtree have owned and run Searle’s since December 2011.  Both have the warmest of welcomes for all who wonder through the eclectic shopping space cum dining area.

If you are looking for something not on the menu, ask for Naomi or Derek. They are always happy to get involved and cook whatever you’d like, from a scrumptious burger to beautifully prepared fillet steak to a plate of spicy Thai-style prawns.

At Searle’s Trading Post, we love what we do. Homemade produce is at the heartbeat of the restaurant, be it fresh pasta, breads warm from the oven, fabulous ice cream, a selection of cured meats, cordials, presses and even alcoholic drinks like limoncello, fennel liqueur, almond liqueur and crème liqueur, to name a few…

Discerning locals, romancing couples, relaxing weekenders and slick city folk… all are welcomed by Naomi, Derek and their crew.
